The ancient trail is suitable for cycling

The forest is full of ancient relics. During your trip through the forest, you will not only have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature in Tokkekøb Hegn but also pass by several well-preserved ancient pathways, burial mounds, and dolmens from the Neolithic period. Ancient pathways and burial sites are closely located in the landscape and testify to the significance the area held for our ancestors. These ancient relics are marked on the map along with a suggested tour. The trip is described starting from the south at point 78. You can park at Blovstrød Station's parking lot and walk/cycle along the path between the station and Lindehøjgård (KRAK 85 K2). Another good starting point is the easternmost of the parking spaces on Stumpedyssevej in the middle of Tokkekøb Hegn. The paths are suitable for cycling. Here on the sides, you can read a brief description of the most important ancient relics—prepared in collaboration with archaeology students from the University of Copenhagen. At eight selected points along the route, you will find info poles with a phone number you can call to learn more about the exciting ancient relics.
