Harpøth Harbor and Damhus Å Harbor - Red route

The marked route is approximately 4 km in total and can be used starting from either Damhus Å Havn, Harpøth Havn, or at Sandbæk Næs. At both harbors, there are parking spaces as well as tables and benches, while at Sandbæk Næs, parking is available in the shoulder northwest of the farm at Sandbækvej 48. Folder boxes are set up at all three starting points. The harbors are publicly accessible, and boat owners are welcome to launch their boats and sail out on Nissum Fjord. Sailors are stranded in the winter and are therefore cleaned up every spring by the boating associations, which among other things finance the operation through annual harbor parties. The members are both local residents, summer house owners from the Skalstrup summer house area, and people from outside. They sail out, among other things, to catch flounder, herring, and mackerel, just as the harbors are used as a starting point for the autumn duck hunting. The harbors are run by volunteers, and guests are encouraged to clean up after themselves and use the provided trash bins. The numbers on the map refer to the descriptions below.
