The nisse route of 3.6 km starts just before Skovhytten and is marked with green arrows. The route has been created by Læsø residents and is flanked by various small nisser all the way around. The route predominantly runs through the forest but also passes through more open dune areas. About half of the route is on forest paths/forest roads and the other half is on trails.
At Skovhytten, there are toilet facilities, water, grill options, and an exhibition.
