Reersø - Bildsø Forest

Reersø Church. The church was built in 1903-04 and is located where the Reersø Inn previously had its traveling warehouse. The church is special with its wooden tower. It stands at the highest point in the town, overlooking Vejlen.

Reersø Museum. The museum is set up in an old tenant house (landless) and gives an impression of how the agricultural laborer lived around the year 1800. The museum was the idea of the author Thorkild Gravlund. It is called "Andræjs House" after the last resident, Anders Sørensen Borneby.

Reersø Harbour. It was likewise Gravlund's idea, together with the fishermen, that there should be a fishing harbor between Kalundborg and Korsør, so the fishermen did not have to fish from the shore. Reersø Harbour is today mostly used by recreational sailors and leisure fishermen. In the summer, there is a grill bar and fish shop with its own smokehouse at the harbor.

Nature and fishing The nature in Reersø is varied. To the east, you can see the flat wetland Skiften, Flasken, and Vejlen with wading birds, ducks, and an interesting flora. To the west, there is a rocky beach with high cliffs. To the north lies a small bay, which with its fine white sand is a good bathing beach. The west and south sides of the island are great for coastal fishing. The best impression of nature can be gained by walking around the island - a walk of about 9 km along footpaths, gravel roads, and asphalt roads.

Musholm Island. The island is located about 5 km southwest of Reersø. It is covered with grass and is a favored area for seagulls and ducks. At the harbor lies Musholm Lax, which operates a salmon farm by the island.

Reersø artists. Reersø is a favored place for artists to settle. Here, there is a specially varied nature and atmosphere and a very special light. Every year, one weekend in August, the artists and traders open the island with many exciting experiences.

Rævehøj - a burial chamber. Near Dalby, there are three mounds, of which the southernmost is called Rævehøj. It has Denmark's highest burial chamber. The burial chamber itself is 7 m long, 2 m wide, and about 2.5 m high. It has been an incredible construction job to place stones of that size in several layers. Rævehøj is open to the public. From the top, there is a view over the Great Belt. The other two mounds have not been excavated. A footpath has been established up to the mounds.
