Slotved Forest and Game Park - Green Route

The green route starts from the main parking lot at Astrupvej 183, 9870 Sindal, where there is also information, water, toilet, and waste container. The route can also be accessed from the parking lot at Kræmmernes Hus and the parking lot at the intersection of Danmarksgade/Astrupvej.

The route is 2.5 km long. Part of the route is paved with stable gravel, but there are also sections with firm forest floor.

The route runs through the central part of the deer park, predominantly in the forest, but also into open nature. You have the opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape, ancient deciduous forest, and edges with crooked old characteristic trees, streams, swamps (with wooden paths), lakes, and old hollow roads. There is a chance to see fallow deer and red deer, especially in the northern part, but not as good a chance as on the yellow route, and there are also not the same views over Vendsyssel. On the other hand, the route is in more sheltered terrain with more protection from the wind.

The route passes several places with picnic tables and Fredes Plads with a bonfire site.

Be aware that Slotved Skov is designated as untouched forest, so you need to be especially careful of fallen branches and trees.
