The area borders Hyrdehøjskoven, which is located just west of Roskilde. In the westernmost lake, there is a bathing beach, bathing piers, shelters, a picnic house, and a dog park where dogs can run free. There are good paths around the lakes. There are good parking options with an entrance from Lyngageren.
There are toilets at the kiosk on the large parking lot on Lindenborgvej.
