The tour starts at Surf spot Kloster, with surf life and accommodation facilities, and goes back over Bagges Dæmning.

The original purpose of the dam was to drain the area to create extra agricultural land and at the same time facilitate access over Ringkøbing Fjord.

In 2016, Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality decided to revive the project. A bridge was constructed, and it now connects the two former openings.
