The Gods' Alley

The Gods' Path is an approximately 64 km long hiking trail through nature and cultural historical landscapes from Vellerup Vig to Mosede Fort. In several places, there are good opportunities for small detours and round trips. Along the entire route, there are directional posts and around 80 storytelling posts with brief texts that refer to both the uniqueness of nature as well as culture and local history.
The stretch goes through Ramsødalen, which is an EU bird protection area and thus part of Natura 2000, a network of natural areas across Europe. These natural areas are monitored for their special significance as a habitat for various animals and plants.
Humans have lived in Ramsødalen since the Stone Age. A settlement from a group of people of the Maglemose Culture (7400-6000 BC) has been located in Gøderup Mose.
In the Neolithic and throughout the rest of antiquity, people lived and farmed along the river valley. Traces of settlements from the Stone Age and Iron Age have been found in several places.
