"In a short time, you can traverse both islands and enjoy the peace and quiet. When the apple trees bloom, the islands are at their most beautiful. Later, wild blackberries, elderberries, sea buckthorns, and other plants unique to Nordic cuisine appear.

A true bird paradise with exciting shorebirds in the flat salt marshes and birds of prey circling for prey. The large old summer house area now has the character of a forest with many small paths. Everywhere on the islands, you will find tables and benches – most with a view of the water.

At the island's grocery store, friendly volunteers tempt you with local products, coffee and cake, postcards, T-shirts, and other merchandise. Askø Museum and the small church with the Gothic altarpiece are worth a visit.

The ferry sails from Bandholm, and in the summer, it is often accompanied by porpoises playing, and there are often seals resting in the harbor."
