The Ramsøstien trail runs through Ramsødalen, which is a landscape of grazed meadows, marshes, and lakes. A large part of the area is protected and also an EU bird protection area. From Gadstrup to Ramsømagle and from Ramsø Søgård to Ringstedvej by Øm, a marked hiking route of about 6 km runs. There are 2 birdwatching towers along the route. There is also access from Gøderup and from Kirke Syv. The route runs through both privately and publicly owned lands, primarily on lands that belong to Copenhagen Energy. Traffic occurs on grass or wood chips. In several places, stiles and a single staircase are passed, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot make it all the way through.
