The area borders Hyrdehøjskoven, which is located immediately west of Roskilde. In the westernmost lake, there are swimming beaches, bathing piers, shelters, a picnic house, and a dog park where dogs can run free. There are good paths around the lakes. There are good parking options with access from Lyngageren.
