Damsbro Bog

Damsbro Mose is located on both sides of Lilleå between Søften and Hinnerup in an area with a high groundwater table. In the large marsh area (approximately 30 hectares), there is a mosaic of extremely rich transitional mires, swamp forests, lakes (old peat excavations), and fertilized cultural meadows. In 2015, the "Damsbro Mose" project was inaugurated, including a birdwatching tower, a wooden path leading to the tower, and information boards about nature management, animals, and plants. The goal of the project was to focus on nature management in the area while also providing the public with better access to the area. The project is supported by the 15th of June Foundation, the Outdoor Council, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Favrskov Municipality.

It is possible to walk the entire length of the marsh on the nature trail between Hinnerup and Søften. As for parking, there is a small stopping place on Engdalsvej, 100 meters from the intersection at Århusvej in Søften. From there, one can walk along the road (a beaten path) until reaching the nature trail and wooden path that leads to the birdwatching tower.
