The Princess Quarter is from the 1960s and the pip quarter from the 1970s. Dalsgård Quarter has been developed since around 1980 and onwards. Fuglebjerg Hall was built in 1967 by the area's volunteer association members and local citizens.
The Little Prince. In 1996, the sculptor Jens Galschiøt Christophersen created the artwork "The Little Prince," inspired by the wonderful book by the French author Saint-Exupéry. Students from Fuglebjerg School participated in its creation. In 2012, it was moved to its current location in front of Fuglebjerg Library. The library building also served as the town hall for the former Fuglebjerg Municipality from 1968 to 2006.
The fire station serves the western part of Næstved Municipality. It was originally built by Falck to replace the old fire station on Korsørvej.
Previously, there was a machine factory at this location, a large green wooden building and a windmill that provided power to the electric machines. The buildings at the address Næstvedvej 8 were housing for the owner of the machine factory and a smaller machine workshop.
Hindholm Valley. The route can be extended along Næstved Landevej and through the tunnel to Hindholmvej. Here lies Hindholm Private School. In 1852, the first folk high school in Zealand was established here. The folk high school had to close during World War I. In 1916, a boarding and real school was established in the buildings. Today, the buildings form the framework for a well-functioning private school.
4-H Gardens. After the rainwater basin lies the Scout Yard, which serves as the framework for the green scouts' activities in Fuglebjerg. Next door, 4-H in Fuglebjerg has a clubhouse and an area with small gardens. Here, children learn to grow vegetables, etc. 4-H in Fuglebjerg was founded in 1943 as a youth section of the smallholders' association. In the beginning, the children kept livestock or tended a small garden at home, but now garden activities are concentrated on Falkevej. On the adjacent natural site, the Nature Base is located. Here, children and adults can borrow equipment to explore nature, and the many fruit trees and nut bushes are available for free use. In the Nature Base, one can warm up by the fireplace while preparing twist bread, pancakes, soup or other food.
Biofuel heating plant. In 1966, Fuglebjerg got an oil-fired district heating plant at Sandvedvej 16. The skyrocketing oil prices resulted in a new straw heating plant located on the outskirts of the city by route 22. The plant is from 1985. In 2001, a step further was taken, and the plant was converted to biomass firing, i.e., wood chips.
Fuglebjerg Hall
In the autumn of 1967, Fuglebjerg Hall was inaugurated. The hall is a so-called self-build hall with municipal support, where engaged citizens and associations raised money for the construction through approximately 10 fundraising events, including by holding town festivals in Fuglebjerg. An extension to the hall was built around 1995 to create more space for the many leisure activities in the area.
