Harpøth Harbor and Damhus Å Harbor - Yellow route

The marked route is approximately 4 km in total and can be accessed from either Damhus Å Havn, Harpøth Havn, or Sandbæk Næs. At both harbors, there are parking spaces as well as tables and benches, while at Sandbæk Næs, parking is available in the verge northwest of the farm at Sandbækvej 48. Folder boxes are set up at all three starting points. The harbors are publicly accessible, and boat owners are welcome to launch their boats into the water and sail out onto Nissum Fjord. The sailing channels silt up in the winter and are therefore cleaned out every spring by the boat clubs, which, among other things, finance the operation through annual harbor festivals. The members include local residents, summer house owners from the Skalstrup holiday home area, as well as people from outside. They sail out, among other things, to catch flounder, herring, and mackerel, and the harbors are also used as a base for autumn duck hunting. The harbors are run by volunteers, and guests are encouraged to clean up after themselves and use the provided trash bins. The numbers on the map refer to the descriptions below.
