The forest is owned by the church and was formerly part of the service land of the Aunslev/Bovense pastor. Today, Nyborg Municipality manages the forest on behalf of the parish council. The forest is approximately 11.0 hectares and beautifully located along the Storebælt coast. It is a very diverse forest with a large mix of tree species, especially beech, ash, and a few coniferous groves.
