The Ramsøstien trail runs through Ramsødalen, which is a landscape with grazed meadows, marshes, and lakes. A large part of the area is protected and additionally a EU bird protection area. From Gadstrup to Ramsømagle and from Ramsø Søgård to Ringstedvej at Øm, there is a marked hiking route of approximately 6 km. There are 2 bird towers along the route. Access is also available from Gøderup and from Kirke Syv. The route passes through both privately and publicly owned areas, primarily on lands that belong to Copenhagen Energy. The trail is traversed on grass or bark mulch. In several places, stiles are crossed, and a single staircase is present, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot get all the way through.
