The First World War has left many traces in southern Denmark, and on this hiking trail through and south of Løgumkloster, you will pass the War Prisoner Graves from 1923. At the 71 burial sites, primarily Russian prisoners of war are buried, and a memorial has been erected in Russian, French, and Danish. The graves are located on the outskirts of the town, and along the way, you will also pass Museum Holmen, the town's impressive 25-meter tall carillon, and several other attractions. At the end of the route, you will pass Galgebakkevej, which was once Løgumkloster's place of execution.
