Lyngstien (3 km round trip)

The Heather Trail goes along winding paths surrounded by a dense carpet of heather, lingonberries, and blueberries through oak thickets, over heathland, and along the Kattegat coast. The Heather Trail is marked with red triangles.

Starting point: There is free parking without time restrictions at the southern end of the Heather Trail at Dokkedalvej 102, 9560 Hadsund and at the northern end at Dokkedalvej, 9560 Hadsund. By public transport, the bus stop Kattegat Strand Camping (bus route 58) is quite close to the starting point. Check www.rejseplanen.dk.

Experiences: The Heather Trail is a narrow footpath between heather, lingonberries, and blueberries, which is especially beautiful to see in late summer. Along the way, you can experience oak thickets, heathland, and beautiful views over the Kattegat coast. There is access to toilet and water at the southern end of the Heather Trail. The Toft Tower is located quite close to the starting point, and there is a pedestrian tunnel under the road. From the tower, there is an excellent view over the Lille Vildmose.
