Hostrup Krat and Søgård Forest have been designated as a bat hotspot
by WWF World Wide Fund for Nature and the Danish Bat
Association. Here, as many as 10 out of 17 Danish species of bats live.
When you follow the Bat Route, you can learn more about all
the fascinating bats that fly in this area, on the information boards
marked with stars on the map.
The Bat Route at Søgård Forest is a collaboration between
WWF World Wide Fund for Nature, the Danish Bat Association, and
the Nature Agency of Southern Jutland. The route is supported by the Beckett Foundation.
There is also a Bat Route in Hostrup Krat.
