Haversdås long barrow and stone burial mound

Along the approximately 450-meter-long marked footpath at Haversdås, you can experience two unique burial sites from the Neolithic period's so-called Funnel Beaker Culture (4,000 - 2,800 BC).

The passage grave you first encounter represents the fully developed, stone-built communal grave of the Neolithic period, which was reused several times. The 100-meter-long long barrow "Haversdås," on the other hand, is the earliest closed burial form of the Funnel Beaker Culture, primarily built of earth and wood.

The long barrows typically contain several separate and closed burial sites with wooden or stone-built burial chambers, which were often added to over a long period of use.

When visiting, please remember that you are a guest on private land. Access is only allowed on foot along the marked path by the marshlands and via the footpath over the field west of the passage grave.
