The tour begins in front of the castle's main door, and after three kilometers you can expect to be back. The route is marked with yellow arrows, but bring the brochure just in case, as there is a detour to Trehøje.
The route mainly follows gravel roads and the difficulty is considered easy to moderate. The road conditions depend on the weather, but as a starting point you can expect the surface to be good. In the beginning, you will encounter a steep hill, but then the terrain becomes more even.

Animals in the enclosure:
You may encounter deer and steers (castrated bulls) in the enclosure, but not at the bathing area, around the manor, and in the Old Garden. All inquiries about the animals should be directed to the Nature Agency at phone number 61 92 11 02.
