Along the route, there are several fine experiences from historical times, including the fortification Kjællinghøl, the Brændevinsegen, and the Iron Age activity center.
The route also leads to a bridge over the Gudenåen, from where it is possible to get a unique view into the valley and access the somewhat longer barge path on the south side of the Gudenåen.
At the bridge, there is, in addition to landing opportunities for canoes and kayaks, relatively easy access for those with mobility issues to the platform via a sturdy ramp with a relatively gentle slope.
Additionally, a smaller path has been established from the bridge leading to a fishing platform. The fishing platform can also be used by wheelchair users.
