The Skamlingsbankestien is a marked route of 4.5 km that really gets your heart rate up as you return from Lillebælt to the starting point and truly feel that Skamlingsbanken is the highest point in Southern Jutland. The trail descends and then ascends 113 meters in elevation. Experience the echoes of history as you gaze from the foot of the Skamlingsbankestøtten over the memorials erected for those who fought for a cause greater than themselves. For the Danish language, Danish identity, and the right to vote. The route consists of established gravel paths and begins at the parking lot by the Skamlingsbankens visitor center.
