Risskov - Anemone Route

The Anemone route here gives you the opportunity to enjoy nature in Riis Skov whether you are in a wheelchair, have impaired vision, or another physical disability. Nature is for everyone, and the Anemone routes - the city's specially accessible routes - are designed to ensure that.

Here you will have an extraordinary nature experience as you move through the changing beech forest with the sea on one side and the forest on the other. You will walk along a stunning, untouched slope, home to all kinds of plant and animal species and over 250-year-old trees. From ancient forest and ponds in the north to new recreational areas in the south, Riis Skov has something for everyone. You also have the opportunity to take a break and enjoy the tranquility on one of the many benches in the forest.

If you want more nature, try the Anemone route around Egå Engsø. In the future, more routes will be developed in the city's parks and forests.

The ambition for the Anemone route in Riis Skov is that it will eventually also be fully accessible to Aarhus residents with visual impairments. Therefore, the municipality has initiated a collaboration with the company NaviBlind. A group of blind and visually impaired individuals is currently testing NaviBlind's route and equipment.
