Route in the Hinneruplund area

On the outskirts of Hinnerup, we find this unique network of paths, which is very suitable for walking or running. The nature workshop, which is based here, is a day care offering for physically and mentally disabled individuals who wish for activity and social interaction close to nature. Close to the buildings of the nature workshop (which are the old material yard), a shelter and campfire area have been established – and there is also an activity area in the form of a forest playground and natural training course, which can be freely used. A large part of the green areas is grazed by cattle (the Scottish Highland breed) throughout the year, which helps keep the areas open and bright. Most of the path system is outside the fence, but a small part goes through the grazed area – there are bulls in the enclosure, and therefore it is important to behave calmly and considerately towards the livestock. Dogs must be on a leash.

The area is a mosaic of heathland, bog, lake, stream, and forest. In the limestone heaths, plant species such as devil's bit, hollow-stemmed corncockle, and marjoram have been recorded.
