Flade Lake

The route is 13.5 km long and the marking is green

The route starts at Lodbjerg Lighthouse and goes all the way around Flade Lake, where you also have a view of Ørum Lake along the eastern embankment. Most of the route is on paved or gravel roads, making it more suitable for people with walking difficulties. On your trip, you have good opportunities to experience the special birdlife associated with Flade Lake, where you can encounter the great snipe, redshank, and beardie, among others. In addition, you can see livestock, such as cattle, grazing along the lake's edge. Along the western embankment, you can hear the waves of the sea crashing against the shore, but still walk in shelter behind the embankment and enjoy the view over Flade Lake. If the opportunity arises, you can also spend the night in nature, in one of the shelters, close to the old lighthouse. Walking the full length of the route requires that you are used to hiking, but you can take a break in the town of Agger and get a refreshment.
