Lucky Nose Route

The route is 6.2 km long and the marking is black

The route starts at Lodbjerg Lighthouse and then continues out into the heath and dune landscape, where you can experience the beautiful and harsh nature that is characteristic of the area. You can, among other things, experience the beautiful sight of the bell heather or the impressive reindeer lichen that grows here, or try your hand at climbing the high dunes. Out by the coastal cliff, you can witness the "black nose," which is dark glitter clay that sparks the imagination. During the trip, you can also race with the waves along the beach or simply enjoy the sight of the waves breaking and the spray of white foam. If the opportunity arises, you can also spend the night in nature, in one of the shelters, close to the old lighthouse. Therefore, the trip offers many enriching sensory impressions, but requires that you are fit or reasonably stubborn. At the same time, it is important to be aware of wind and weather, as strong winds can cause the sea to reach up to the cliff. Heavy rain for long periods can also make the route impassable. Please check with the locals about the conditions before you set off.

Toilet and Water

The route starts at Lodbjerg lighthouse, where there is a toilet and the possibility to fill water; these facilities are open all year round.

At Lodbjerg lighthouse, from Easter until the end of October, you can daily visit the coffee room, where volunteer coffee room hosts welcome you and sell coffee/tea, juice, and homemade pastries in the old keeper's rooms.
