The trail starts from the parking lot at Slette Å rest area but can be accessed from the parking lot at Faldet, Svinkløv Badehotel, and the memorial stone for St. Olav's Spring. The hiking trail varies greatly in terrain, following lush forest valleys in some sections that are very hilly, while in other areas it runs parallel to the path of the gravel road past Marie's house, which is more leveled and flat. Therefore, the route requires that you are in good walking condition and have appropriate footwear. If you have the time and opportunity, you can choose to bring your lunch, which you can eat at the campfire site in the honeysuckle valley and perhaps enjoy the sight of wild honeysuckles. During your trip, you can also stop at the northern coastal cliff and enjoy the magnificent view.
