The red route takes you through large parts of Uhrehøje Plantation, which offers forest and heath with varying terrain and different tree species.
Along the way, you will pass several burial mounds, including Tvillingehøje and Langhøj. The burial mounds testify to the human activity that was present in the area thousands of years ago.
Uhrehøje Plantation is located in an area formed at the end of the last ice age. Today, you can thus experience a hilly landscape consisting of a varying layer of moraine clay and sand pushed together by the ice.
The surface of the route consists of gravel, soil, and sand. The terrain is very hilly.
There are 2 parking areas associated with the route, and you will also find a nature base in the plantation, where there are shelters, a fire pit, and picnic tables.
