Twin Mounds is one of 20 burial mounds that you can find in the plantation. Along with Uhrehøje and Langhøje, Twin Mounds are the most prominent mounds.
Uhrehøje Plantation is located in an area that was formed at the end of the last Ice Age. Today, you can thus experience a hilly landscape consisting of a varying layer of moraine clay and sand that has been pushed together by the ice.
The surface on the route consists of gravel, soil, and sand. The terrain is very hilly.
