At Skånsø, in addition to the Hede Route, there is a widely branched trail system established by Holstebro Municipality. Furthermore, there is a campfire site and shelter with a view over Skånsø. There is a horse paddock in the immediate vicinity, so people on horseback also have the opportunity for overnight stays.
