Polar Bear Route (1.9 km round trip)

Starting point: Nepstrupvej 1, 8970 Norup.

There is free parking without time restrictions in the parking lot opposite the community center at Åmøllevej 2, 8970 Norup.

Public transport: Bus line 234 bus stop 'Norupkrydset' is just around the corner from the start point directly across from Nepstrupvej 1.

Experiences: The trip starts at the old station building in Norup. From here, the route follows the old railway track through peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature.

Along the way, you pass the small cozy ice cream shop, also known as Isbjørnen, which is open during the summer season, where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy an ice cream. The route also leads past the community center in Norup and Vindblæs Friskole, which is an important part of the local community.

If you take a small detour from the route, heading east on Norupvej, you will find a lovely nature playground on the left-hand side.

Here you will find toilets, shelters, and good opportunities to enjoy a packed lunch or take a break in the outdoors.

The Isbjørn route is therefore an ideal trip for both families, walkers, and cyclists who want a cozy experience in tranquil and scenic surroundings.

Marking: The route is clearly marked with pink arrows in both directions, making it easy to follow.

The route primarily runs on asphalt with a shorter stretch on country roads with very little traffic.

Bicycle route 5 'Østkystruten' and the Nordsøstien also run along the stretch of the railway path.
