Start at Kongeåslusen, where the Kongeå meets the Wadden Sea. Here, there is a shelter area with a toilet and a campfire site – but no running water. From the sluice, you walk south along the road and then follow the route further to Vilslev. Along the way, you experience the characteristic marsh nature with expansive views over the meadows and a rich bird life.
The Kongeå path is a primitive, yet clearly marked footpath that stretches a total of 68.5 kilometers. The route is divided into 10 stages and 5 loops, each offering unique nature experiences and exciting cultural history along the Kongeå. Read more at www.kongeaastien.dk.
