Start the tour over at Kongeåkroen, just west of the campsite. Here, you will find a digital information screen with stories about the nature and history of the Kongeå. Follow the path behind the inn, where you can enjoy the view over the river from Karin Lorentzen's sitting sculpture. The tour ends at Frihedsbroen, where there is a shelter area with good facilities, information screen, and parking. You might consider a quick visit to Skibelund Krat for an overnight stay or just a meal – only about 2 km from Frihedsbroen.
The Kongeå Path is a primitive, yet clearly marked trail that stretches a total of 68.5 kilometers. The route is divided into 10 stages and 5 loops, each offering unique nature experiences and exciting cultural history along the Kongeå. Read more at www.kongeaastien.dk.
