Mølleåstien - upper course

The tour goes through a beautiful undisturbed landscape that alternates between forests, bogs, lakes, and open land, and along the route, you will experience many of the nature park’s gems. The tour can be taken both on foot and by bike, and for example, you can choose to take the S-train to Farum St and walk/bike the route to Ølstykke St (or the other way around). If you are up for it, you can extend the trip along the lower course of Mølleåen to Øresund. Find the route at Udinaturen.dk.

Between Farum Lake and Bastrup Lake, the route goes along Mølleåen and through the remarkable tunnel valleys formed by the Ice Age. Between Buresø and Ølstykke, the route passes through the Slagslunde and Sperrestrup forests. The route is marked with square blue bike signs. The Mølleåen Nature Park has also set up posts with QR codes that offer stories about the many exciting places you pass by.

Note:

In the area, there are bogs, meadows, and rich fens with various species of orchids and other rare plants – they are protected and must not be picked or dug up. In several places, grazing with cattle is conducted to prevent the areas from overgrowing.
