Stage 14 Gudenåstien

This stage goes from Frisholtvej - the road over Tange Sø to Ans - to Bjerringbro.

You walk through the Gudenåcentralen plantation, past Gudenåcentralen to Bjerringbro.

PLEASE BE AWARE that although the route currently goes through Gudenåcentralen's garden, it is almost impossible to cross the Gudenå here.

Therefore, detour - either by turning right before the dam - see the map with (blue dotted line; east of Tangeværket; this route is temporarily marked) - or by walking past Gudenåcentralen and up Bjerringbrovej and onto Lille Møllevej to Bjerringbro - the other map (yellow line; west of Tangeværket).

Furthermore, be aware that there may be nettles on the route east of, as the protection only allows passage - not for the path to be cut.

OVERNIGHT STAY AND TRANSPORT

There are options for both shopping and accommodation in Ans and Bjerringbro - both in beds and shelters. There is also a shelter site at Uderum Tange Sø. Find it on Gudenåkortet.

There is parking by Ans Bro (Frisholtvej, east side of the lake). There are bus connections to Ans from Silkeborg, Randers, and Bjerringbro (bus no. 73). In Bjerringbro, there is a train station.
