Stage 18 Gudenåstien

Stage 18 begins at Stevnstrup Beach, where there is also parking and a toilet. In Stevnstrup, you can shop - it is a couple of kilometers from the Gudenå Path. From Stevnstrup to Fladbro, where the Nørreå flows into the Gudenå, there is a path and several wooden paths/boardwalks. About halfway, you can take a detour to Randers City Camp - see photo.

In Fladbro, the Nørreå flows into the Gudenå; you should follow the foot and bike bridge over the Nørreå. You can also walk a bit further to Fladbro Kro, and get something to eat or find a bed to sleep in.

The rest of the way to Randers is through the beautiful Gudenå meadows. Be aware that the Gudenå Path runs along a bike route.

The Gudenå Path is identical to the Trækstien between Silkeborg and Randers, from where horses and men, known as barge pullers especially in the second half of the 19th century, pulled goods on barges.
