Step 9 Gudenåstien

From Ry - or to be completely precise - just south of Ry - the Gudenå Trail continues south of the lakes to Silkeborg on stages 9 and 10. If you want to go north of the lakes, you should follow stages 9B and 10B. Make sure to refuel in Ry before the trip.

On stage 9, you will walk on forest roads. You will pass the iconic Himmelbjerg - be aware that the Gudenå Trail does not go right past it, but you will need to take a small detour up there. The stage ends - or starts - at Skyttehusets Outdoor Camp, where you can both sleep and eat. Or continue on stage 10. Or take the small bike ferry over to the north side.

Note: There is a train connection to Ry, and in the summer you can take the Modstrøm bus back if you come from the south. Read more on the Coastal Land website.
