Riderute Klosterheden Northwest

The riding route Northwest starts in the far northwest of Klosterheden from Gl. Landevej right across from Hegendalhus. The route runs due east, along the boundary between fields and forest, to Blokgårdsvej before continuing southeast to perhaps the route's most beautiful spot – a wet heath area with sporadic vegetation, primarily of pine trees.

The route then continues, via gravel and forest roads, towards the west, then north until it continues along the historical and characteristic Betonbanerne, which are partially asphalted. After the Betonbanerne, it is beneficial to take a break at the parking lot on Gl. Landevej just west of Blokgårdsvej. Here, there is an opportunity to see an old bunker that hides in the terrain just a few meters from the parking lot.

The route then continues north along Blokgårdsvej before finally turning west through the forest boundary and back to the start.

The route is approximately 10 km long.

The riding route is marked with yellow horseshoes that are painted on trees or posts with horseshoe pictograms. The riding route is bidirectional and can therefore be ridden both clockwise and counterclockwise.
