In a very varied plantation of heathland, there is access from Åskov heath to 24 kilometers of riding trails that wind through forests and heath stretches. Around the Gelså valley, the riding trail runs over heath plains along the ridges of hill islands and through the special klimp landscapes. The forests were established in the early 20th century on the three farms Åskovgård, Hedeagergård, and Stenbæk Kro.
