Parking/start location:
Guldborgsund Kayak Club, Dæmningen 2a, 4800 Nykøbing F with good parking options and launching from the club's docks. The clubhouse is locked, but if members are present, there is access to a toilet, and in the nearby Toreby Sailing Club, there is also access to a toilet. Shopping opportunities close to the Kayak Club (Føtex).

Special conditions
Around Flatø, Kalvø, Kejlsø, and Lilleø, there are large areas where it is shallow and stony. On the stretch between Flatø and Lolland, it is important to keep a good distance from Lolland – most notably is the white stone called "Hvide Mær". However, one should not get too close to Flatø, as there are also many stones here. It is possible to enter Flintinge Å and Frejlev Å, but again one must be careful, as there are several large stones in the entrances to the streams.

Flintinge Å: It is only permitted to land at the bird tower. Cows graze in the area during the summer. Near the islands Flatø and Kalvø, one should stay in the middle of the waterway, but out of the sails.
