Ryå is wide and you can paddle upstream in a kayak to "the white bridge" in Store Vildmose, where the route ends. You can paddle out into the Limfjord, past the airport, around Egholm, and to Aalborg. Canoe rental is available at Aabybro. Launching options are Aabybro dairy (very good), Birkelse, and Ryå Boating Club's landing place at Skeelslund bridge (respect the club's parking rules!)
