War history is often quickly erased. Take, for example, the Telephone building at Plaça de Catalunya, once the center of all communication. No sign of that can be seen. Yet there was fierce fighting during the Franco uprising, and less than a year later again, between the anarchists and the communists. During Franco's time, the Telephone building monitored all phone calls and censored what was not liked.
