Before 1910 the Sanctuary of Mercy was reached on a winding path. It was in this year when the americano Josep Mora conceded the lands from the beginning of the passage to the current school of music. After some problems, in 1917 the final details were completed: the planting of banana trees, the installation of benches and the building of the fountain designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
