The Cruces University Hospital, previously known as Cruces Hospital, is located in the Cruces neighborhood of the city of Barakaldo, Spain. It is the largest and busiest healthcare center in the Basque Country. It is one of the hospitals of Osakidetza-Basque Health Service that serves the city of Barakaldo itself, the left and right banks of the Nervión estuary including the city of Bilbao, and the regions/areas of Uribe, Mining Zone, and Encartaciones. It is also a regional referral hospital for Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Kidney Transplant, Liver Transplant, and Major Burns. According to a report from the Instituto Coordenadas de Gobernanza y Economía Aplicada, published in 2016, it is the best hospital in the Basque Country.
