The castle of Valencia de Alcántara is a Spanish defensive building whose origins date back to the middle of the 13th century, specifically to 1220, the year in which the castle was taken by García Sánchez, master of the Order of Alcántara. It is located in the town of Valencia de Alcántara, in the upper area, in the municipality of Valencia de Alcántara, in the province of Cáceres, Autonomous Community of Extremadura, in the area known as La Raya.
