The Lonja de Tortosa is a work of Catalan Gothic architecture located in the city of Tortosa, Spain, and is considered a predecessor to the later exchanges of the Crown of Aragon.[1]
It was built in the 14th century and later enlarged, but only the Porch of Wheat from the old enclosure has been preserved. The director of the works was the stonemason from Tortosa, Arnau Marco.[2] It is a rectangular building, a little more than 12 x 30 meters, divided into two naves that communicate through three large semicircular arches. Longitudinally, it opens to the outside through four pointed arches. There are two more on one of its fronts while the other, which originally faced the Ebro River, consists of a wall with two Gothic windows.
