Saint Vincent d'Albarca

Sant Vicenç d'Albarca is a church in Albarca, in the municipality of Cornudella de Montsant, declared a Cultural Asset of Local Interest.
Built with very regular stone blocks, the church of Sant Vicenç features a single nave with four side chapels, two on each side, and at the head an apse in the Romanesque style with a double-splayed window that, along with small sections of the walls, is the only part preserved of the original work. The nave, in Renaissance style, is covered by a barrel vault and is connected to the presbytery by a large triumphal arch. The façade is divided into two sections by a small horizontal cornice that connects with the bell tower, situated to the right of the building. In the lower section, the corners are made of padded stone blocks. The Renaissance entrance that centers the body of the church is framed by a moulding and crowned by a pediment. The upper section is centered by a circular window. The bell tower, with a square base, consists of three bodies. The upper one, with a pointed opening, has pavilion roofs.
