The Monreal Tower is a tower, traditionally considered to be of Arab origin, located on a hill to the southwest of the city of Tudela, next to the Lourdes neighborhood. According to the archaeological excavations carried out in its vicinity and within, it would belong to a watchtower to control the possible arrival of enemies in that area. It is the only watchtower in Tudela that has survived to this day. It rises on a hill that overlooks the city opposite to the Santa Bárbara Hill, where the Alcazaba or Castle of Tudela was situated. In ancient times, this hill was likely known as Mount of the King or Royal Mount, from which its name is derived.
