From Mossènpeir

The Mossènpeir is a monument of the municipality of Les included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

The Mossènpeir is a large building that along the Carrèra currently includes two adjoining houses, between the side streets of Palha and Calhau, and the other side of this set of ancient agricultural dependencies enclosed with the portal under the gallery. In the porch, a very large carriage is preserved, previously pulled by oxen, for transporting logs of wood to the border; and in a corner, the first bakery of the Val. The house has a rectangular section, with the façade facing west, parallel to the capièra. The factory openings, with lowered arches, illustrate the structure of two floors, in the humarau sharing windows and a wolf’s mouth at the upper level. The wooden pitched roof supports a slate covering, basically of two slopes, and three waters on the free side. The decoration concentrates on the façade, with a base, a molding that highlights the change of floor, and a cornice. The green painted wooden doors stand out against a light pink plaster finish, while the outer corner features an imitation of stone blocks. The door is distinguished by its fine execution, both concerning the stone frame and the two crafted leaves; the keystone, accentuated, contains the following inscription: 1763 // GABRIEL//BOYA//. The balcony that covers it, with the turned railing, seems to be added on.
